From Harvard University
A software engineer at Harvard University specializing in tools and services for data analysis. I have been working with Java since it's inception, focusing on server-side and web development.
A practical introduction to Apache Spark for Java developers. We provide an overview of the main components of Spark and show how to get going with your first application using MLlib, the scalable machine learning library that is a core component of Spark. New features of Spark 2.0 will be highlighted. You’ll see code running in a local Spark development environment as well as in a Spark cluster. The session demonstrates development and monitoring tools provided with Spark and provides hints about overcoming initial hurdles.
